Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022 Free (TRS22) celebrates 20 years of Trainz. This latest release features FIVE new routes, each with a range of new sessions and trains for you to enjoy.

TRS22 also offers a whole new experience with “Multiplayer Surveyor” allowing you to build and drive in a world you create online with friends. We’ve also added new tools, lots of new content, and all your previous Trainz content is fully compatible.

Build and drive endless worlds together using the latest Trainz “Multiplayer Surveyor” multiplayer world-building technology. We’ve streamlined the route creation process to focus on user collaboration.

Drive and create together using the most advanced multiplayer world building technology ever created for train simulation!

UNIFIED DRIVER/ SURVEYOR (UDS)

Forget the round trips from the driver to the surveyor. UDS lets you instantly switch between editing and driving and vice versa. Spotted something you need to tweak? Just jump into Surveyor, make the switch, and move on.

This is a massive change in the way you use Trainz. Instantly switch to Surveyor to move a tree out of the way or edit an entire yard, then switch back to continue driving.

NEW EFFECT LAYER TOOLS AND PRESETS

Choose from a range of presets to quickly create new layers of effects for your current route. Set up “masks” to prevent effect layers from appearing underwater, on a slope, or above/below a certain height.

Create and edit custom preset effect layer assets (and share your assets via DLS or .cdp)

NEW PAINTING UNDER SPLINE TOOLS

Bulk paint ground textures under a spline (e.g. add ballast under a lane all along the route or a section of the route)
